Rayson K. Alex, Ph.D., TEFF Director, is Assistant Professor at the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences at Birla Institute of Technology and Sciences Pilani, K.K. Birla Goa Campus, Goa, West India. He is one of the editors of Essays in Ecocriticism (Sarup and Sons, 2007), Culture and Media: Ecocritical Explorations (Cambridge Scholars Publishing, 2014), Ecodocumentaries: Critical Essays (Palgrave Macmillan, 2017) and Ecocultural Ethics: Critical Essays (Lexington Books, 2017). Along with S. Susan Deborah, K. Samuel Moses and Sachindev P.S., he founded ‘The Ecomedia Team’ in 2005 which gradually grew into tiNai Ecofilm Festival (www.teff.in), an international ecofilm festival dedicated to ecodocumentaries. His academic interests are in the areas of indigenous studies, ecoindigeneity, ecocinema studies and ecocriticism.

K. Samuel Moses Srinivas, TEFF Co-Director, Assistant Professor of English at the Department of English (SFS), Madras Christian College, Chennai, South India, is an educationist and an ardent lover of wildlife. His interests are in ecocriticism, postcolonial literature, subaltern studies, Dalit studies, and film studies. He is the co-convener of ‘The Ecomedia Team’ and is involved in making video-documentaries as part of the Team.

S. Susan Deborah, Ph.D., TEFF Co-Director, is Assistant Professor in the Department of English, MES College of Arts & Commerce, Goa, India. She is one of the editors of Culture and Media: Ecocritical Explorations, the first volume in the area of ecocinema in India, Ecodocumentaries: Critical Essays and Ecocultural Ethics: Critical Essays.  She is the recipient (along with Rayson K. Alex) of the ASLE-USA Media Subvention Grant for creating an interactive video space for ecocinema scholarship and for publishing the book on ecodocumentaries (2014). Her interests lie in food studies, ecomedia, and ecocriticism.

Daniel J. David, Head, Department of English (SFS), Madras Christian College, is an educationist and teaching for almost 20 years. His interests are: critical theory, narratology, practical theatre and fantasy fiction. He is the convener for the conference.

Jothi Vel Moorthy A.C, TEFF Creative Director, strongly believes that by creating awareness about protecting the historical monuments and documentations the knowledge of our heritage is handed over to the next generation. His interest towards heritage, ancient architecture prompted him to travel across India to document art forms and historical sites. He holds a degree in Computer Science Engineering and runs his own software consulting firm in Chennai. He is a passionate traveler having extensively traveled across the length and breadth of the country.
